Annual Prize Distribution Function Held at Government Model High School, Sector 41D, Badheri, Chandigarh
The annual prize distribution function was held at Government Model High School, Sector 41D, Badheri, Chandigarh, bringing together students, teachers, and esteemed guests to celebrate academic and extracurricular excellence. The event honoured outstanding students in various categories, including reading, science, maths, creative work, art, and sports.
The ceremony was graced by three guests: the area councillor, S.Hardeep Singh Ji, the Principal GMSSS Sec 35D, Chd., Smt.Seema B. Groover and Professor Madhavi from Dev Samaj College of Education. The function began in its ceremonial style with the lighting of the lamp by the guests and the school Headmistress Smt. Sanjogita. It was then followed by a soulful Saraswati Vandana performed by tiny tots, setting the tone for a memorable day.
The cultural extravaganza featured vibrant dance performances, including Bhangra and Haryanavi showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region. Also, the students of class 8th, 7th and 6th presented different theme-based cultural items in the form of Qwaali and contemporary style, delivering a message of national integration and progressive India.
Around five hundred students and 50 teachers witnessed the spectacular show, cheering and applauding the talented performers.
Prizes were distributed to meritorious students of grade 10, recognising their hard work and dedication. The event was a grand success, fostering a sense of pride and accomplishment among students, teachers, and guests alike. The guests addressed the audience motivating them to strive for excellence in all spheres of life and to be a torchbearer of the country’s unstoppable progress. In the last leg of the programme, the school Headmistress thanked all the guests for their valuable time and congratulated the staff members and the students for putting up an excellent show. The function concluded on a high note, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating next year’s event.
